Rebecca is thrilled to announce the debut recital of her new group- Trio di Seta!

Sopranos Eleanor Oldfield and Rebecca Milford and pianist Janice Tsui have come together as friends, peers, and music lovers to create the ultimate trio- Trio di Seta. Translated from Italian, their name means Trio of Silk, in honour of meeting as young students on Silk Street, at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since they met, their passion for music has found them wanting to perform together as much as possible. So, they decided to create this recital trio, to live out this dream!

They are thrilled to be doing their first official concert at the Cukfield Music Festival. The recital will look back at their history as musicians, with arias, duets, and songs by Puccini, Strauss, Howells, Schubert, and many more.

Bonjour! Salut! Bienvenue! 

Come and enjoy a lunchtime recital with soprano Rebecca Milford and pianist Dan Xing, as they explore the musical worlds of French composers who made up the famous ‘Les Six’ group. The dynamic six studied with the iconic composer Satie, and as the recital dives headfirst into their diverse musical accomplishments, you can be sure to find yourself transported to Paris of the 20th Century. There will be everything from Parisian cabaret music to dramatic French Melodie to Poulenc’s gorgeous solo piano stylings.

Rebecca is thrilled to be joining fellow Guildhall singers and pianists in a diverse and fascinating song recital exploring the ancient symbol of the Ourobouros, a snake eating its own tale…

Join them as they use songs ranging from classical composers like Schoenberg and Schubert, to Japanese and Chinese folk tunes, to take the audience on a mystical and fantastical journey through music.
